This year, we're reintroducing Wantage Road in Bloom—and stretching it further to create West Reading in Bloom. Let’s fill our streets with flowers, colour, and life while deepening connections between neighbours.

🌼 What’s Happening This Spring and Summer?

🌿 Planting Together
Add beauty to your doorstep! Plant flowers in your front garden, window box, hanging basket, or even a pot on your steps. No space is too small - every bloom helps make our neighbourhood vibrant.

🪴 Lamppost Baskets
Volunteers will be hanging flower baskets on local lampposts and caring for them through the season. You’re welcome to adopt one near your home - just water it now and then and enjoy the colour!

🌻 Wildflowers for Pollinators
We're encouraging bee- and insect-friendly planting. Sow wildflowers in your garden to help local pollinators thrive all summer long.

🎀 Wreaths on Doors
Show your support by hanging a wreath on your front door - homemade or shop-bought. It's a beautiful way to join in and brighten the street.

💬 Everyone Can Take Part

No gardening experience needed. Whether you’ve got a balcony, a patch of soil, or just a pot by your front step - you can be part of the bloom! Together, we’re turning our neighbourhood into a green, welcoming space for people and wildlife alike.
